Longtime Administrative Assistant is relay coordinator for Tractor Relay Across Nebraska

Communication Studies' longtime Administrative Assistant, Donelle Moormeier, is the relay coordinator for the Tractor Relay Across Nebraska (TRAN). Riders on antique tractors drive across the length of the state for ten days in June. This year, 25 tractors traveled across the state, visiting many communities and highlighting agriculture. In celebration of Nebraska’s 150th anniversary of statehood, Donelle organized a tractor drive around the Nebraska State Capitol on June 10. 152 antique tractors were driven around the capitol. Congrats to Donelle and the Nebraska Antique Farming Association.

Wonderful Years of Intercultural Communication in Action.

Dr. Chuck Braithwaite's Intercultural Communication Global Classroom students were visited by Turkish children from the campus of Yeditepe University in Instanbul, Turkey. Professors Braithwaite and Ayseli Usulata and their students celebrated another successful semester teaching together.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Communication Studies is delighted that the Cornhusker Speech & Debate team has their home in our department. UNL's Chancellor hosted a dinner for the team and coaches last night. We deeply appreciate the support of Chancellor Ronnie Green and Jane Green and their enthusiasm and long family history with this important co-curricular activity.
