The Department of Communication Studies
congratulates doctoral candidate Adam Blood, named a Phyllis Japp Scholar. This
fund is named for Dr. Phyllis Japp who was a member of our faculty from
1986-2009. The fund is generously supported by valued alumni, faculty, and the
Japp family, including the Phyllis and Lyle Japp Endowment. In addition to his
excellent scholarship and teaching, Adam Blood is the graduate student coach
for UNL’s debate team, part of the Cornhusker Speech & Debate program, and
a UNL Graduate Student Ambassador.
